Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOLGA (OLLIE) ELIZABETH ANDERSON (nee WOITOWITZ) April 14, 1926 January 22, 2008 Peacefully and with her family by her side Ollie died on January 22, 2008 at the Victoria General Hospital. Predeceased by her husband, Clyde and her dear sister Emily, she will be greatly missed by her children Lesley (Alan) Haffner and Rick Anderson, grandchildren, Nicole (Danny) Parr, Rebecca (Lionel) Johnston, Ryan (Paula) Anderson and Kristy (Shaun) Caldwell, sisters Helen (Allan) Reid and Bernice MacDonald, sister-in-law Ruth Strand, her great-grand-children and many nieces, nephews and their families, all of whom she took an interest in. Her priority and main joy in life was her family. She loved family celebrations and treasured every moment with her great-grand-children Abbey, Avery, Tyler, Cameron and Ainsley. Ollie was a caring, independent person who provided support to her family her whole life. She showed great strength and always had a positive attitude in meeting life's challenges. Ollie was active until the day of her death. She participated in many activities including curling, bowling, square dancing, volunteering at Fort Whyte Alive, reading and enjoyed her Stroller's walking group for many years. She and Clyde loved to dance. She knitted and sewed many beautiful things and had many artistic talents. She traveled extensively and especially loved her trips with Lil and Gibb Todd. Ollie treasured her many friends, especially from the days she lived on Carter Avenue and Symington Road. It was Ollie's decision that there be no funeral and her family is honouring this request. Interment and a private gathering of family and close friends took place on January 25, 2008. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oncology Development Fund at the Victoria General Hospital or Fort Whyte Alive.
